The UCR-UAS Board leads the organization to new endeavors while providing support and encouraging the professional development of its members by providing meaningful projects, events and training.

President
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Oversee all technical and business-related operations within UCR-UAS.
Plan agenda and meeting materials for board meetings, and facilitate these weekly board meetings.
Prepare weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports about UCR-UAS’ status.
Communicate the organization’s engineering capability and business operations status and resources with the Business Lead and Business Team to ensure that all projects receive the funding and support they need.
Develop plans to accomplish all of UCR-UAS’ goals (internal and external growth), including but not limited to conferences, showcases, exhibitions, etc.
Represent UCR-UAS and be capable of presenting all engineering and business-related aspects of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience managing a large team (>25 people).
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to confidently execute a presentation to a large crowd.
Must have the ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Must demonstrate previous technical experience.
Must have the knowledge and interpersonal skills to successfully help market UCR-UAS and ensure that all sponsorship and partnership opportunities have the highest probability of success.
Must have the technical knowledge to understand the fundamentals of each project and present them accurately and in detail.
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
Ability to create opportunities for UCR-UAS members in alignment with our mission statement.
Vice President
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Prepare agenda and meeting materials for committee meetings, and facilitate those meetings.
Prepare weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports about current committee projects.
Help assess committee members performance.
Connect with local businesses, school districts, government etc.
Connect with other organizations on campus, within UC system or even outside
Acquisition of professionals for the UCR-UAS Mentor Network
Work closely with the secretary to facilitate communication between all board members (e.g. set up meetings logistics, mediate between departments, improve internal database navigation etc.)
Manage internal events for members (General meetings, socials, fundraisers alongside the Treasurer etc.)
Manage human resources alongside other board members (develop recruitment plan, screen applicants, oversee onboarding process etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have a good knowledge of local community, be updated with current events and willing to seek out new connections and opportunities.
Must have strong communication skills (written, verbal, etc.).
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing .
Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
Ability to spontaneously communicate in different relevant situations as needed for the team.
Ability to unite both the Engineering and Business departments needs to the prospective networks.
Treasurer
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Work closely with the Business Team Lead and Business Team to budget estimates, budget planning, sponsorship packets, sponsorship tiers and benefits, fund acquisition though fundraisers and grants and etc.
Must have a strong sense of time and delivery of product on time.
Must have a strong understanding and mentality of finance budgeting and fund acquisition.
Ability to conduct financial analysis on the variability of purchases and investments.
Manage all financial transactions of UCR-UAS.
Maintain detailed and thorough logs of all transactions made by UCR-UAS.
Closely monitor the budget to ensure that all projects and operations stay within their allotted allowances.
Regularly communicate the financial status of UCR-UAS to the Board at board meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience managing an organization’s finances
MUST be organized
MUST be capable of creating detailed records.
Ability to monitor multiple sections of UCR-UAS and be aware of each division’s remaining budget.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology
Secretary
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Schedule meetings and facilitate communication within Board
Record meeting minutes & follow up Board Meetings with action items
Organize files and records within Google Drive
Develop ways to optimize user navigation within Google Drive
Preferred Qualifications:
Organized and capable of creating detailed records
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Knowledge of relevant technology such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
A desire to learn and participate in different projects
